# How to post a meetup (please read first)

Meetups are welcome — please post in **Community & Meetups** using this template so people know what they’re joining.

### Before you post

- Prefer **public** venues: campsites, events, pub car parks with permission, organised shows
- Don’t use the forum to organise **large informal gatherings on sensitive land**
- You’re responsible for your event; VanLifeUK doesn’t insure or vet meetups

### Copy this template into a new topic

**Title:** `[Meetup] Area — short description — date`

**Body:**

- **Date & time:**
- **Rough location:** (town/region + venue name if public — no secret overnight spots)
- **Who it’s for:** (all vans, families, dogs ok, etc.)
- **What’s happening:** (coffee, convoy, campsite social, etc.)
- **Cost:** (free / pitch fee / ticket link)
- **Contact:** (reply here / DM after trust — avoid posting personal phone in public if you can use the forum)
- **Accessibility / notes:**

### After the event

A short “how it went” photo thread (with consent) helps the community — post in **Vanlife Chat** or **UK Travel** as a trip report, not a new spot dump.
